( JAMA and Archives Journals ) Individuals with papillary thyroid cancer that has not spread beyond the thyroid gland appear to have favorable outcomes regardless of whether they receive treatment within the first year after diagnosis, according to a report in the May issue of Archives of Otolaryngology -- Head & Neck Surgery, one of the JAMA/Archives journals.
