Longtime Bloc Quebecois MP Lalonde gives up seat to fight bone cancer
MONTREAL - A Bloc Quebecois MP has decided to step down ahead of the next federal election to focus on her fight against cancer. Francine Lalonde, who represents the east-end Montreal riding of La Pointe-de-L'Ile, broke the news to her colleagues today at a caucus retreat in her hometown.
