Sheriff candidate stays in race despite illness
MOSES LAKE Tom Jones of Moses Lake plans to stay in the race for Grant County sheriff, despite a recent diagnosis of cancer. Jones said in a news release Tuesday that he has acute myeloid leukemia, a cancer of the bone marrow, and will receive treatment at Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee for the next three to four weeks.
